Suicide Prevention Care Pathways Project - Redcliffe consultation

These events are facilitated by Beacon Strategies and supported by Wesley Mission Queensland and Brisbane North PHN.

As part of the National Suicide Prevention Trial, we have engaged Beacon Strategies (who have partnered with Wesley Mission), to work with the HHS, the community sector and with people with a lived experience, to identify the various suicide prevention care pathways in our region. Specifically, this is about identifying the current pathways to care for people (adults 18+) in our region and then developing a product/s with high utility which demonstrates these care pathways.

  • What/where are the various touch points in the community where people go for support/assistance/safe space
  • What are the pathways to care from the community to each of the 5 hospitals in our region
  • What are the pathways to care within each of our hospitals (the internal processes are different across sites)
  • What are the pathways to care upon discharge from each hospital

There is a specific focus on pathways to care for the following three priority population groups:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • LGBTI communities
  • Young adult to middle aged men (25-55yrs)

Please note there are two seperate events hosted in Redcliffe on this date - one is for sector consultation and one is for lived experience consultation.
