The Australasian College of Tropical Medicine (ACTM) and the ACTM Faculty of Travel Medicine are proud to present the 3rd Annual Southern Cross Travel Medicine Conference, being held at the Hilton Brisbane, Queensland, from 7-9 September 2018. This year’s theme, Translating Knowledge into Practice Down Under, will be explored through stimulating, succinct and novel sessions covering a range of important travel and tropical medicine topics.
This year we will be bringing back the popular half-day yellow fever workshop from previous years, and have also added a half-day nurses’ workshop to the program, offering a practical approach to travel consultations and covering topics such as:
- A landlubber’s guide to cruise health
- Travel consultation “boot camp”
- Travel with kids – they are not small adults
- User- friendly travel health resources
- Twisted travel tales – case studies
Places to this workshop are included in full conference registration, or available as workshop-only tickets.
We invite all nurses, doctors, pharmacists and other health professionals working in the field of travel and tropical medicine, general practice, military medicine, occupational health, infectious diseases and related fields throughout the region to take full advantage of the professional development opportunities offered at SCTMC 2018.
