There is no cure for dementia, so the main goals of treatment are to maintain quality of life, maximise function in daily activities, and enhance recognition, mood and behaviour. There are different medications and treatment regimes for dementia, this workshop will provide you with knowledge about:
- pharmacological management of dementia and responsive behaviours
- side effects, prescribing cascade, polypharmacy and deprescribing.
This workshop will attract 4 CPD point for doctors and 2 hours CPD for nurses (pending approval).
